Women Know How to Bring the Do-Wop 'n the Rock

Women's 2008 self-titled debut was pretty criminally underrated when it was released. This is probably because 1. It rode in on the post-Deerhunter wave of lo-fi psych-pop and was seen as more of the same 2. Their band name is impossible to Google. 3. The group has no female members. Whatever the reason, I hope their sophomore record, Public Strain, doesn't see the same fate.

The forthcoming LP doesn't drop until late-August, but the first single's been released and it keeps all the Phil Spector charms of their solid debut.
