New Tallest Man on Earth Track, Courtesy of Adult Swim

I gave a shout-out to Adult Swim's 2011 Singles Program a couple of weeks back, but after all the goodness they've been hosting, the project's more than earned a golf clap.

They've been releasing new tracks from artists you probably love, once a week, for over a month now, and the results have been all hits, no misses. That being said, this week's contribution from The Tallest Man on Earth is a hands down favourite so far.

Is This a New James Blake Track? + The Lindesfarne Single

My adoration of James Blake has been well documented on this blog, even before the musician released his astounding self-titled LP earlier this year. Since I've long devoured everything the wunderkind has produced so far, I'm waiting with eager ears to hear new material and I finally might have it.

The unknown, untitled track is a BBC radio-rip, and while no author has officially been named, it bears so many Blake mainstays, including a sampling of his own voice. Too good to be true or right on the money? Let's hope it's the real deal, not some clever remix.

In related news, Blake's dropping his "Linesfarne" single next week, which includes a singular edit of the Bon Iver-echoing "Linesfarne I & II" from his album, condensing the two songs by a minute. The 7" is a double A-side, with LP-opener "Unluck" on the flip. Download 'em all below.

Jamie xx Officially Released "Far Nearer," Adds a B-Side

Remember when I blogged Jamie xx's "Far Nearer" back in March? Well earlier today, Jamie put out the track officially in all its finished glory and with an almost-as-good B-side, "Beat For."

"Far Nearer" is still the track of summer 2011, pairing nicely with burgers and beers, linen pants and cotton dresses, or sandy car rides home from the beach. Although, his Adele remix is a close second...

Beirut's "East Harlem" Single Is So, So Much Win

You've got to hand it to Beirut, after keeping a low profile for two years, Zach Condon and co. up and drop a new single and the interwebs are ablaze.

For good reason though, "East Harlem" is the kind of rustic folk the band's always done best--the faded Polaroid colours of times past, the kind that make you wanna share beers with an old friend or waltz with an old flame. Fingers crossed the new song means a new album. The band has announced a new album, The Rip Tide, and it's due out August 30th.

UPDATE: The single's B-side has been released and "Goshen" is one of the most soft-spoken, gorgeous tracks Beirut's done thus far. You can download it below.

Yeasayer's Record Store Day Tracks Aren't Half Bad

Yeasayer was one of many bands to release "new" music on Record Store Day, dropping two unreleased cuts from their Odd Blood recording sessions.

Despite lackluster critical praise, I was a fan of that LP's retro-avant pop (anyone who has been around me when "Ambling Alp" plays can attest to this), so it's nice to hear the band return to that well, albeit briefly, one more time.

Beastie Boys' "Make Some Noise" Rad Video + an MP3

I was lukewarm when I first heard that new Beastie Boys single, "Make Some Noise." Or I was, until I saw the pretty great video featuring Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood, Will Ferrel, John C. Reilly, Jack Black and cameos from the usual suspects who run with that crew.

MP3s: Radiohead's Record Store Day 12"

As Radiohead fans were already well aware, the band released two new songs on Record Store Day: the Supercollider / The Butcher 12". You were able to stream vinyl rips of both tracks as early as last week, but HQ MP3s have unsurprisingly found their way onto the interwebs.

Anyone who thought The King of Limbs was too brief can find the solid tracks down below...

MP3s: That New Burial 12" Doesn't Disappoint Whatsoever

Well, finally. After lying low* for four years, Burial has released some new solo material. Coming in the shape of a three-track 12", the Street Halo EP is everything you'd come to expect from the clandestine UK producer.

Burial's still playing with his usual pallet of fuzzy hi-hats, tinny snares, gooey bass and haunted vocal samples, but there's subtle evolution buried in each songs' hazy mix. The 4/4 thud of "Street Halo," anemic yearning of "NYC" and lung-heavy, house-vibes of "Stolen Dog" all showcase a delicate refinement to Burial's distinct formula; the latter being one of the strongest singular tracks he's ever produced.

This isn't Untrue.5, it's better.

* He released a 12" with Four Tet in 2009 and a 12" collaboration with Thom Yorke and Four Tet in March.

Car speakers and college dorm rooms rejoice, the first leak off Lil Wayne's eagerly anticipated Tha Carter IV has arrived. "If I Die Today" is a banger featuring a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League beat and Rick Ross's sleazy baritone.

Between this and "6 Foot 7 Foot," Weezy's on a tear.

Girl Talk Makes Your Week, Releases New, Free LP

Girl Talk (aka party-mastermind Gregg Gillis) decided to blow the internet's mind earlier today by releasing his new album, All Day, out of the blue. I haven't been able to listen to a single track just yet, but Night Ripper was awesome, Feed the Animals was awesome, so I'm going to go ahead and assume that All Day will be, wait for it...

Awesome.

Illegal Art is officially hosting the record, but the site's unsurprisingly spiked with traffic. Anyone having trouble getting a hold of next week's official party playlist can grab it via me by clicking down there.
